START FRESH Embracing The New Normal

For several years our State Pastor and Director of Ministries has reminded us that we are indeed, “Better Together”.

Now, more than ever this last year has revealed the truth and strength of this saying! The coronavirus and recent political events have continued to stretch our unity and cloud the future of many of our local congregations.

We are at war, but the enemy and challenges we face as leaders in Ohio cannot be resolved by who is in office come or when you receive your vaccination. And though our office certainly does not believe we have all the answers, we do believe our connectivity has and will continue to bring both emotional and spiritual support, as well as the truth — You are not alone!

This year’s Start Fresh Leadership Conference will focus on “Embracing the New Normal”, using Mark 2:22, the parable of wine and wineskins, as our themed verse. We are so honored to have Rev. Handel Smith, the Executive Director for US and Canada Strategy for Church of God Ministries in Anderson, Indiana. Handel will be our main speaker this year, not because of his titles, education, or giftedness, but rather because his ministry as the campus pastor for Celebration Church (Anderson), has grown in the midst of the challenges all of our churches and leaders are facing. His weekly attendees numbers are up, and his small groups are multiplying.

In addition to Rev Handel’s presentation, we will also have multiple “Breakout Room” discussions to process what we have learned and the opportunity to hear from several leaders on how they are thriving in ministry during this pandemic.

This conference is virtual, register today.
