Title of Position: Youth Pastor
Purpose of Position:
- To train and pastor youth workers
- To lead youth to Christ as well as mentor them toward Christian adulthood
- To preach to the congregation on regular occasions
- To provide updates to Board of Elders on state of the youth program
- To plan and lead an annual calendar of youth activities (retreats, services, missions, conferences/rallies, etc.)
Responsibilities:
This position must:
- Represent the church to the community.
- Examine new avenues for witnessing to the local community.
- Keep current with training and educating yourself as one working to show yourself approved. (2 Ti. 2:15)
- Schedule time to meditate (focused thinking) on the Scriptures. (Ps. 119:15)
- Schedule time to contemplate (focused awareness) the Lord. (Ps.46:10)
